The 1st issue of the Bulletin of the National Scientific Committee on Historical Necropolises of ICOMOS Russia was published in St. Petersburg
Вышел из печати первый выпуск Вестника Национального научного комитета по историческим некрополям НК ИКОМОС, Россия, в котором опубликована монография вице-президента этого комитета Н.В. Лаврентьева и искусствоведа Г.С. Таболиной «Благовещенское кладбище на Васильевском острове».
Эта монография - результат научных изысканий, посвященных истории одного из старейших, несохранившихся до наших дней санкт-петербургских некрополей XVIII века, на территории которого были похоронены многие выдающиеся деятели науки и культуры того времени.
Национальный научный комитет по историческим некрополям (далее – ННКИН) был создан одним из первых по решению Совета НК ИКОМО С, Россия от 27.11.2017. Основной сферой деятельности ННКИН является изучение и сохранение исторических кладбищ и отдельных захоронений на территории Российской Федерации и некрополей соотечественников за её пределами.
На основании п. 1.7 Положения о научных комитетах НК ИКОМОС, Россия, утверждённого Советом НК ИКОМОС, Россия 27.07.2017, пп. 4 п. I Принципов Эгер-Сианя 2008 г., в целях реализации первостепенной задачи и обязанности всех национальных научных комитетов НК ИКОМОС, Россия (обеспечение обмена информацией и распространение знаний среди их членов и всех подразделений НК ИКОМОС, Россия, а также Международного ИКОМОС) Решением ННКИН от 19.03.2019 учреждён Вестник Национального научного комитета по историческим некрополям НК ИКОМОС, Россия в качестве основного периодического печатного издания ННКИН.
Основными целями Вестника ННКИН являются: освещение деятельности ННКИН; популяризация вопросов истории, изучения и охраны исторических некрополей; публикация тезисов, материалов, статей участников научных семинаров, конференций и других мероприятий, проводимых ННКИН, в том числе с участием других организаций; публикация отдельных монографий членов по тематике, связанной с деятельностью ННКИН.
Предполагается по возможности выпускать Вестник ННКИН на двух языках: английском и русском. Публикуемый первый выпуск Вестника содержит перевод на английский язык предисловий, аннотаций, подписей к иллюстрациям, а также расширенного синопсиса основного текста монографии, отличие которого от русского текста заключается только в том, что из него изъяты обширные цитаты из источников XVIII века, которые перевести на английский язык достаточно трудно.

The 1st issue of the Bulletin of the National Scientific Committee on Historical Necropolises of ICOMOS Russia was published in St. Petersburg.
The first issue of the Bulletin of the National Scientific Committee on Historical Necropolises of ICOMOS Russia came out of press. In this issue, a monograph named “Blagoveshchenskoye (Annunciation) cemetery on VasilevskyIsland” by Vice-President of National Scientific Committee on Historical Necropolises Nikolay V. Lavrentyev and the art historian Galina S. Tabolina was published.
This monograph presents the results of scientific research on the history of one of the oldest St. Petersburg necropolises of the 18th century that has not survived to our days and where many outstanding figures at science and culture of that time were buried.
The National Scientific Committee on historical necropolises (hereinafter referred to as NSCHN) was one of the first to be found in accordance with the decision of the Board of ICOMOS Russia of 27 November, 2017. The main field of NSCHN’s activity is research and conservation of historical cemeteries and individual graves within the limits of the Russian Federation and necropolises of compatriots abroad.
By virtue of Clause 1.7 of the Regulations on Scientific Committees of ICOMOS Russia, approved by the Board of ICOMOS Russia on 27 July, 2017, and of Paragraph 4 of Section I of the Eger-Xi’an Principles of 2008, in order to implement the primary task and responsibility of all national scientific committees of ICOMOS Russia, that is, of ensuring information exchange and dissemination of knowledge among their members and all bodies of ICOMOS Russia and ICOMOS Int., the decision of NSCHN of 19 March, 2019 established the Bulletin of the National Scientific Committee on the Historical Necropolises of ICOMOS Russia as the main periodical printed publication of NSCHN.
The main objectives of the Bulletin of NSCHN are coverage of the NSCHN activity; popularization of the issues of history, further study and protection of historical necropolises; publication of abstracts, materials, articles of participants of scientific seminars, conferences and other events held by NSCHN, both jointly and with the participation of other organizations; publication of individual monographs of NSCHN members on topics related to the activities of NSCHN.
The Bulletin of NSCHN is intended to be issued in two languages: English and Russian, if it is possible. The first issue of the Bulletin brought to your notice contains an English translation of prefaces, annotations, captions to illustrations, as well as an extended synopsis of the main text of the monograph. The only difference of the synopsis from the Russian text is that extensive quotations from the 18th century sources were withdrawn from it, since they are hardly translated into English.
